Valentines <3

Says usually only the people who are in relationships or in LOOOVEEEE.

But listen up you single people who are all sorts of annoyed of the love blooming around you, IT IS OKAY TO TREAT-YOOOO-SELF!

Thaaaat's right. Treat-yo-self!

Each year I pick up Caden with Balloons, a stuffed animal, and a date night planned. It's my way of showering my little guy with affection. And yea, I know we don't neeeed a day to be told you must show someone you love them, but it is nice to have that reminder that we are special. So even if you are all against it and are in a relationship, still do something that your loved one will know and be reminded that your bond is something unbreakable.

Simple things like, a card and chocolate. Or, WINE lol!!

And if you happen to be like me, single each year this season rolls around, try not to become cynical about it. Show yourself love. Before we can seek love in another, we need to learn how to love ourselves fully for all that we are. Do your nails, your hair, work out, or whatever it is that lets you feel cared for. If you have children, spoil those babies! Raise them right! Teach them what unconditional love is by being that for them. So many of us think that our children suffer when being raised by a single parent. I say no, they suffer when you rush into relationships to fill a void in your heart, over and over again.

While you are waiting..

Love, yourself. Love your babies, and treat yo selves on this amazing day!

Proverbs 3:3-4: “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man."
